Both measurements, which were somewhere between 1 to 2 years apart were within 1 bpm. I have all my HR zones set by LTHR. I'm not sure if the number I got from garmin is my actual LT but I imagine it's close. Reply
WebI just performed a 30 min running time trial to determine my lactate threshold as described by Friel (and posted below for reference). At the end of the run my 735xt gave me a new lactate threshold estimate of 184 bpm and 4:44 min/km. However, using the Friel way of calculating the lactate threshold gives me 191 bpm and 4:22 min/km. WebMy lab defines zones like so: 1) active recovery, 2) low intensity (this one starts at lactate threshold), 3) medium intensity (this one ends at anaerobic threshold), 4) high intensity, 5) very high intensity. Garmin defines zones like so: 1) warm up, 2) easy, 3) aerobic, 4) threshold, 5) maximum. These are additionally defined in the manual.
